OCTOBER 2021

Terrigal Collective Formed

The Terrigal Collective is a newly formed Incorporated Association created to represent and manage the precinct known as The Esplanade Terrigal.

Bringing together local businesses, operators and stakeholders, the Collective provides a formal structure to coordinate marketing, events, advocacy and place-making initiatives that strengthen the beachfront and high street economy.

June-October 2024

Uptown Accelerator

Round 3 of the Uptown Accelerator took place from June-October 2024 with 25 District Teams from Greater Sydney, Illawarra-Shoalhaven, Lower Hunter and Greater Newcastle, and Central Coast participating.

The Accelerator provided capacity and skill building workshops designed to upskill teams in vision development, grant writing, branding, sponsors and partners, governance and pitching, as well as coaching.

Pitch Night

Uptown Pitch Night marked a pivotal moment for The Esplanade Terrigal, as the precinct came together to present its collective vision to corporate partners, investors and key stakeholders. Representing the newly formed The Esplanade.

uptown grant

The Esplanade Terrigal was proud to be successfully awarded funding through the NSW Government’s Uptown Grant Program.

The program supports formally aligned groups of local businesses known as District Teams to work collaboratively on strengthening their precincts as unique, compelling going-out destinations.

october 2025

Monopoly

The Esplanade Terrigal has been recognised as one of the Central Coast’s most iconic destinations, officially featured in the Monopoly Central Coast Edition.

It’s a celebration of the strip that locals and visitors alike know and love where coastline meets culture, and independent businesses shape the character of our community.

February 2026

launch night

The Esplanade Terrigal was officially launched in style, with more than 80 local business owners, operators, property stakeholders and community leaders coming together to celebrate the momentum building along our coastline.

Held on the strip itself, the evening was both a celebration and a statement of intent a coming together of the businesses that shape Terrigal’s beachfront, high street and visitor economy.
